ตุ๊กตาหมี 

            Teddy Bear (เทดดี้แบร์) เพิ่งจะปรากฏตนเป็นเพื่อนของเราเมื่อไม่นานมานี้เอง   เรื่องราวเกิดขึ้นเมื่อ 100 ปีที่แล้ว   ในปี ค . ศ . 1902 ที่เกิดเหตุการณ์ในคนละฟากมหาสมุทร      ทั้งในสหรัฐอเมริกาและเยอรมัน จนเป็นกำเนิดของ ตุ๊กตาหมี ที่ชื่อ เทดดี้แบร์

          เรื่องราวในสหรัฐอเมริกาเล่ากันว่า    เทดดี้แบร์  มาจากการวาดของนักเขียนการ์ตูนล้อการเมืองที่ชื่อ คลิฟฟอร์ด เบอร์รีแมน วาดภาพที่ชื่อว่า "Drawing the Line in Mississippi" เป็นภาพประธานาธิบดี ธีโอดอร์ รูสเวลท์ ปฏิเสธจะยิงลูกหมีที่ถูกจับล่ามเอาไว้กับต้นไม้

 

ตามเรื่องที่เล่ากันมาว่า ประธานาธิบดีรูสเวลท์ เดินทางไปมลรัฐมิสซิสซิปปี้  เพื่อช่วยเจรจาแบ่งเส้นพรมแดนที่มีปัญหากับรัฐลุยส์เซียน่า  และเจ้าภาพให้การต้อนรับผู้นำของประเทศโดยชวนไปล่าหมีในป่า  แต่โชคร้ายที่ไม่พบหมีให้ล่า จึงมีคนหัวใสนำเอาลูกหมีมาล่ามไว้ที่ต้นไม้ให้ยิงแทน

แต่ประธานาธิบดีปฏิเสธที่จะยิงหมีที่ถูกล่ามเช่นนั้น  ทำให้นายเบอร์รีแมน  นักวาดภาพการ์ตูนประทับใจจึงวาดภาพนี้ขึ้นมาและผลิตตุ๊กตาหมีมาวางจำหน่ายที่ร้านของเขาเอง โดยตั้งโชว์ที่หน้าร้าน พร้อมภาพ

ผลปรากฎว่า ตุ๊กตาหมีของเขาขายดีเป็นเทน้ำเทท่า จากนั้น

เพียงปีเดียว Morris Michtom ได้ปิดร้านของเขาและจัด

ตั้งบริษัท Ideal Novelty and Toy ขึ้น เพื่อรองรับธุรกิจนี้

ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทหนึ่งที่ติดอันดับยักษ์ใหญ่ทางด้านของเล่นของ

โลกในปัจจุบัน

A rose is a woody perennial of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosaceae. There are over 100 species. They form a group of erect shrubs, and climbing or trailing plants, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers are large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds.

Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwest Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and fragrance. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach 7 meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses.^[1]

        

The name rose comes from French, itself from Latin rosa, which was perhaps borrowed from Oscan, from Greek ρόδον rhodon (Aeolic βρόδον wrodon), related to Old Persian wrd-, Avestan varəda, Sogdian ward, Parthian wâr, Armenian vard.^[2][3]

กุหลาบ   

        เป็นไม้ตัดดอกที่มีการปลูกเป็นการค้ากันแพร่หลายทั่วโลกมานานแล้ว กุหลาบเป็นไม้ตัดดอกที่มีการซื้อขาย เป็นอันดับหนึ่งใน ตลาดประมูลอัลสเมีย ประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ซึ่งเป็นตลาดประมูลไม้ดอก ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของโลก เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2542 มีการซื้อขายถึง 1,672 ล้านดอก และมักจะมียอดขายสูงสุดในประเทศต่าง ๆ เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับไม้ดอกชนิดอื่น ๆ

ประเทศที่ปลูกกุหลาบรายใหญ่ของโลกได้แก่ อิตาลี เนเธอร์แลนด์ สเปน สหรัฐอเมริกา โคลัมเบีย เอกวาดอร์ อิสราเอล เยอรมนี เคนยา ซิมบับเว เบลเยียม ฝรั่งเศส เม็กซิโก แทนซาเนีย และมาลาวี เป็นต้น       

   

  

ปัจจุบันประเทศไทยมีพื้นที่ปลูกกุหลาบตัดดอกประมาณ 5,500 ไร่ กระจายอยู่ทั่วทุกภาคของประเทศ แหล่งปลูกที่สำคัญได้แก่ เชียงใหม่ เชียงราย ตาก นครปฐม สมุทรสาคร ราชบุรี และกาญจนบุรี มีการขยายตัวของพื้นที่มากที่สุดใน อำเภอพบพระ จังหวัดตาก ซึ่งปัจจุบันประมาณว่ามีพื้นที่การผลิตถึง 3,000 ไร่ เนื่องจาก อ.พบพระ มีสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เหมาะสม พื้นที่ไม่สูงชัน และค่าจ้างแรงงานต่ำ (แรงงานต่างชาติ)

             การผลิตกุหลาบในประเทศไทยอาจแบ่งได้เป็น 2 ลักษณะคือ การผลิตกุหลาบในเชิงปริมาณ และการผลิตกุหลาบเชิงคุณภาพ การผลิตกุหลาบเชิงปริมาณ หมายถึงการปลูกกุหลาบในพื้นที่ขนาดใหญ่ หรือปลูกในพื้นที่ราบ ซึ่งจะให้ผลผลิตมีปริมาณมาก แต่ผลผลิตไม่ได้คุณภาพ เช่น ดอกและก้านมีขนาดเล็ก มีตำหนิจากโรคและแมลง หรือการขนส่ง

อายุการปักแจกันสั้น ทำให้ราคาต่ำ การผลิตชนิดนี้ต้องอาศัยการผลิตในปริมาณมากเพื่อให้เกษตรกรอยู่ได้ ส่วนการผลิตกุหลาบในเชิงคุณภาพ นิยมปลูกในเขตภาคเหนือ และบนที่สูง โดยปลูกกุหลาบภายใต้โรงเรือนพลาสติก ในพื้นที่จำกัด มีการจัดการการผลิตและการปฏิบัติหลังการเก็บเกี่ยวที่ดี ใช้แรงงานที่ ชำนาญ ทำให้กุหลาบที่ได้มีคุณภาพดี และปักแจกันได้นาน

    

ตลาดของกุหลาบคุณภาพปานกลางถึงต่ำ (ตลาดล่าง) ในปัจจุบันถึงขั้นอิ่มตัว เกษตรกรขายได้ราคาต่ำมาก ส่วนตลาดของกุหลาบที่มีคุณภาพสูง (ตลาดบน) ผลผลิตในประเทศยังไม่เพียงพอ และขาดความต่อเนื่อง ทำให้ยังต้องนำเข้าจากต่างประเทศ เช่น เนเธอร์แลนด์ และมาเลเซีย เป็นต้น

ประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพในการผลิตกุหลาบคุณภาพสูงอย่างต่อเนื่อง หากแต่จะต้องผลิตในพื้นที่ที่เหมาะสม คือพื้นที่สูงมากกว่า 800 เมตรเหนือระดับน้ำทะเล หากปลูกในที่ราบจะได้คุณภาพดีในช่วงฤดูหนาวเท่านั้น ดังนั้นการผลิตกุหลาบมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มพื้นที่การผลิตบนที่สูงมากขึ้น
